The cluster SNOW is composed of several pieces of software that work together. The following diagram represents the SNOW suite of servers:
On the left side, sNow01 hosts the set of virtual machines:
- deploy: manages node software deployment, IPaddresing, apt caching.
- login: handles user ssh
- monitor: manages cluster health with different tools: Ganglia, Munin, PHPQstat and S-Gae
- proxy: caches and controls the external network I/O with a squid daemon
- sgemaster: manages and controls batch queues, job submission, etc.
On the bottom row, we figure the eleven computing nodes.
On the upper side, we figure the five network connections and its different addressing, and in the bottom part of the figure, the dedicated MPI network.
